0 APR credit cards Introduction

Many people have heard many horrible stories about 0 APR credit cards. However, the good news is that you can use them to get you out of debt. It is essential for you to find out how long the 0% APR will take place. Capital One, Wachovia, HSBC, Citi, and Bank of America have great offers. A 0% APR credit card can put you out on a poor house quickly. Many financial institutions lure customers with their instant approval, zero interest and easy online transfer of balances.

Most of us max out our credit cards on holidays, and financial institutions know this fact. They send you a lot of 0% APR credit cards to your mailbox after the holiday season has ended. You know that most of us want to transfer our old balances to the 0% APR credit cards to consolidate our credit card debts. However, you need to know more things before applying this financial strategy. You should read the fine print at the bottom of your credit card agreement. Please do not forget this step or you might end up paying more in the end. Before signing in the dotted line, you need to consider many things.

You will have to pay the full annual percentage rate if you default to pay even the first payment. They will revoke your 0% APR automatically. You need to read your fine print to find out whether they have this option or not. It is essential for you to understand that a 0% APR credit card is only an introductory offer. After this period has ended, you need to pay the common high interest rate. You can get your 0% APR credit card for up to 24 months. A 0% APR credit card is ideal if you want to buy a big-ticket item. Please think about your next HDTV or Apple computer.

You will be getting an interest-free loan using a 0 APR credit card. You will not be charged interest if you pay your minimum payments on time once the billing cycle ends. If your 0% APR credit card comes with a balance transfer option available, then you can switch your old balance to this new credit card. The APR is the basis on how the modern economy works today. Grace periods and late fees are also important factors to consider. Credit card companies are just trying to rope in customers from their competitors using these types of offers in their credit cards.

0 APR credit cards Final words

Please make sure that your outstanding balance is not high once the 0% APR offer ends. Your credit card company will charge you the usual interest rate, and you might end up in trouble. Please read the entire terms and conditions offered by your credit card issuer. It is also essential for you to plan your payments in advance to your credit card company. It is important that you pay back your account balance before the promotional period ends. You should use this type of credit card to buy your next items.

Until and unless people do a job, they cannot really tell what is involved in it and this is why choosing a career is not as easy as most people might imagine. It is often even problematic for individuals to choose a career because often years and years have to be spent by them to train for the job. This is the reason that people are often asking the question “What is the right career for me?” Most people have understood that undergoing a training or degree course might be necessary for them to secure the right employment position; however considering how pricey they can me, they essentially want to make the right choice.

Today a lot of people have lost their jobs because of recession and the global economic downfall, thus “what jobs would suit me?” has become a common question that the unemployed people of today are asking. When there is no adequate career advice service offered by schools and colleges, individuals then tends to make quick decisions regarding their career without doing enough research or performing background checks. The worst part of it all is that people end up making the wrong decisions because they do not appropriately assess the careers they step into.

Another reason that people should be asking themselves “what is the right career for me?” is because it will allow them to avoid choosing the wrong career path that could adversely affect their life as well. Going for the wrong career will also prevent individuals from excelling in the career, which will also affect the salary they are earning and the possibility of getting promoted. However if people consider all of these factors before they are selecting a career path then they will potentially be able to make the right choice.

Another problem that is caused for people when they do not select the right career path and do not seek an answer to their question, “what is the right career for me?” is that they end up being dissatisfied with the job they are doing. This lack of interest and dissatisfaction can again affect how well individuals are able to perform in the job. Different people will have a different criterion of job satisfaction and only stepping onto the right career path will grant them this satisfaction.

For the people who truly want to enjoy the work they should be making the most of their career. Essentially they must step into a career that they are interested and capable in, or else they might end up miserably failing halfway through. This is why it is so very important that people choose the right possible career for themselves that will truly benefit them in the long run. Until and unless people do not ask themselves “what is the right career for me?” This one question can make a huge difference in the job they might secure and their life thereafter. Securing the right job can make a huge difference in any individual’s life and therefore people should be cautious and careful about the career they decide to go for.

Like most people I find balancing the household finances at the end of the month a struggle. With three children all under eight and me not in full time work we need to watch every penny and I have become adept at making the money last and would be described by the popular press as a “Thrifty Mum”. I am probably not alone when I’m not only able to list all of my direct debits but also able to say the amounts I pay each week for each of them and the day they come out of our bank account. The control this gives me allows me to avoid worrying too much as I couldn’t cope with the thought of not being able to do so and the crisis I would be in would threaten everything I and my husband have worked together for. I have become very canny at looking out for offers and religiously cut vouchers out of the newspaper and keep an eye out for when the deals are on at the local Tesco supermarket. One of the most helpful ways of saving money I’ve come across in recent years is to use the comparison websites to make sure that you aren’t paying a penny more than you have to on your household bills. I used the life assurance cover website and saved a fortune. I also checked to see if our buildings and contents insurance can be bought cheaper than we have it already. Changing electricity and gas suppliers is always worth considering as they tend to put up prices for people who don’t switch providers like the banks and building societies do for those who don’t move their money to the best savings accounts. I believe that we can save about one month’s salary a year by switching or threatening to switch suppliers. Sometime purely mentioning the fact that you are about to change provider to your existing provider will mean that they will drop their price by a huge margin. Its well worth trying, the alternative is too awful to contemplate.

My wife and I sat down the on Sunday evening to watch Bergerac and half way through the first advert break there was an advert called life assurance cover. My wife reached for the remote and paused the television program and asked me was that the insurance that our financial adviser had been discussing with us a few weeks ago. I wasn’t sure, but after the program I checked through the notes of the meeting he had sent and it turned out to be exactly what he’d suggested that we should take out. As I understand it the policy is designed to pay out a proportion of my wages should I be unable to work through illness or injury and following a set time period. We then logged onto the financial comparison websites to see if what he was offering was indeed good value and whether we could get the same type of insurance any cheaper. What I find so surprising is that virtually no one seems to know about or even heard about this type of cover. I have spoken to friends and colleagues at work and no one has heard of it which either begs the question, if no one has heard about it why not, or am I being given the wrong suggestions by my financial adviser? There could be a third option of course that is that the advice my friends and colleagues have received isn’t as good as the advice I’ve received. Anyway, it seems like a pretty good idea to me as it seems to be one of the few ways that I can protect everything else I pay for.

My wife and I needed to reduce our overall monthly expenditure due to a change in our personal circumstances. We sat down with a list of our monthly outgoings and a clean sheet of paper and tried to come up with ways that we could achieve the savings required to live within our means. Ideally our plan would save us three hundred pounds a month and we would aim to renegotiate all of our policies plans and utilities and any shortfall would be made up by cutting back on our holiday plans and social lives. We started with our direct debits and logged onto the internet to get a life insurance comparison, mortgage costs and utilities. The savings it’s possible to make were substantial although we weren’t able to save the entire amount we were virtually there and our lifestyle will not suffer tremendously, so we’ll be able to enjoy our lives as much as we did before. With hindsight it’s clear that those who put off carrying out such an exercise are being stupid and wasting money unnecessarily, money that most people can ill afford to give away. It’s not as if there isn’t enough adverts on the television telling us to log onto our computers to compare the price of our car insurance, home insurance and so on.

0 APR Purchase Credit Cards

There are a couple of ways to get 0 APR on a credit card. You can apply for a balance transfer credit card, which means you transfer a balance from one card to another. You can also get a credit card that offers 0 APR on purchases for a few months. This second type of card is what we will concentrate on here. There are a couple of credit cards worth mentioning on the market right now that fall under the 0 APR purchase credit card option.

Sainsbury’s Finance launched a new credit card called the Sainsbury’s Nectar Credit Card. It states that it is a credit card that Sainsbury’s shoppers must have. Of course that is the opinion of the credit card company and you will need to make up your own mind on it.

The advantage of this Nectar Credit Card is the 15 month 0% balance transfer credit card option with a 3% fee and the 6 month 0% introductory offer on purchases. Now keep in mind that the purchase deal only lasts for half a year. After that the APR will increase to the regular APR which is 16.9%. There is a reward scheme with the card that makes using it for purchases helpful for those who want the rewards. It is a lot like the Double Nectar Points card in which you get points for online shopping and at petrol stations.

The card will provide you with two extra points for every pound spent on certain purchases. There can also be up to 2% cash back when you have the Nectar and credit card combined.

It is supposedly the best credit card on the market right now. Sainsbury’s Finance stated that there are only 13% of the credit cards on offer in the UK with 0% introductory offers for purchases and balance transfers that also have a rewards scheme.

The fact that one can gain 2% cash back on the 0% balance transfers and purchases helps. There are some other good balance transfer cards offering up to 20 months of 0% interest, but this does not mean they have as good a 0% APR purchase rate. Should you need to pay off a balance then the 20 month balance transfer will be a lot better than the Sainsbury card.

There are very few credit cards with longer than 6 months on purchase rates. When you go with a purchase introduction, there are a couple of things that you should keep in mind. You have to remember that it is only a temporary deal that will eventually end and when it ends you have to change how you use the card or always use the card the same.

Basically, if you pay off the credit card in full each month you will never be charged interest rates. This is because there is no balance to charge interest. It is the best option in how to use any credit card. However, you can also use the 0% for the term of introduction and then pay it off after those months end.

It almost goes without saying that good customer service is essential to sustaining any business. No matter how wonderful a job you do of attracting new customers, you wont be profitable for long unless you have a solid customer retention strategy in place and in action. Its the actions that count not what you say youll do, or what the policy says. People will remember what you or your employees have done or not done.

One of the key components of an effective retention strategy is exceptional customer service. Not just good service, but memorable service. Today, consumers expectations are higher than ever and companies that fail to deliver, risk losing market share.

10 Tips for Delivering Good Customer Service.

1)Treat me like a somebody. Its been years since that Midas muffler commercial aired, but the Im a somebody phrase can still be heard from time to time. Why? Because regular customers expect (and deserve) to be remembered. As one woman summed it up, You dont need to remember my name, or what I order, but do acknowledge that Ive been there before.

One of the best examples Ive ever seen of this is at my local coffee shop. One day I noticed that the young man behind the counter greeted some people by name and, even if he didnt know their name, he knew what they usually ordered. As I waited for my tea (hed already placed my two milk on the side on the counter without me having said a word), I asked him why he said, See you later to some customers, See you tomorrow to others, yet always said, Have a good week to me. The smiling, friendly reply? Because you only come in on Mondays and Fridays. As I thanked him, I thought to myself, Wow. He wont be here long. Unfortunately, I was right.

2)Be polite! Too frequently company representatives ask customers for file information without saying Please or even being polite. It is not acceptable for a service rep to simply bark out, Account number? And it is never acceptable for a service rep to insult a client.

Six weeks ago there was a problem with my home internet account which is with a phone carrier I have used my entire life (and, as you know, this kind of loyalty to a phone company is almost unheard of these days). In all that time, I have never been late with a bill payment to them. There is a long and ugly story here, but the short version is that a) the problem was on their end and b) before they realized where things had gone wrong, their rep was extremely rude. When I asked him to please change the way in which he was addressing me, he snarled, Well whadya expect? If youd pay your bills on time you wouldnt have this problem.

I couldnt believe what I was hearing. In fact, if Id just read this account (instead of being on the receiving end), I wouldnt have believed the story. Whats worse is that although the company later apologized, their senior management seemed to feel that this was not an isolated incident.

A 2005 survey conducted by Schulich School of Business MBAs suggests that this kind of problem exists in over 30% of companies, and costs them hundreds of millions of dollars in lost customers (and revenues) each and every year. Dont let your company end up one of these statistics.

3)Thank your customers like you mean it. When your employees conclude a transaction, they should thank the customer with a smile and a sincere thank you for completed by whatever is appropriate for your business. Too often, customers received a rushed and barely civil Thanks-Have-a-nice-day-Next. With large purchases, the verbal greeting should be followed up with a hand-written card not just because it leads to increased referrals (which is does), but because it is the correct thing to do.

Oh, and by the way, the word Sure is no way to respond when a customer thanks you. To many people in many parts of the world, this is dismissive and suggests you dont care. The correct phrase is Youre welcome.

4) Appearances do count! According got two independent pieces or research, nearly 90% of customers form an impression about how competent and reputable your company is based on what they see when they walk trough your doors.

Preserve me from auto-attendant hell. Customers are becoming increasingly annoyed and frustrated with having to sift through a multitude of options and press numerous buttons only to be told that the desired service can only be obtained through the companys website. Worse is when the auto-attendant uses voice recognition but doesnt recognize your voice. People want to connect with human beings; they dont want to listen to a long list of prompts. For hints on how to use auto-attendants effectively, please read The top 5 new things people expect for good customer service on our ReallyGreatInfo.com webiste.

5)Do what you say you will… when you say you will. The expression Under promise, over deliver may have become somewhat hackneyed through over use, but is still germane. One of the quickest ways to lose customer confidence is to not follow-through, or to be late delivering a service or product, without notifying the customer in advance, determining whether or not the delay will impact the customer and providing an alternate solution in the interim if necessary.

One of the best examples I ever experienced of a company doing it well happened with Toyota. There was a problem with my RAV4 and Toyota couldnt repair it easily. I was driving a loaner, but had planned to go camping with my kids. It was our summer holiday and it had been planned for months. When Toyota couldnt repair my vehicle in time, they rented an SUV for us to use without me having to ask. I have since purchased another vehicle from this dealership and recommended it to 6 others who have purchased from them. Coincidence? I think not.

6)Surprise the customer from the time to time. When it is possible to provide an extra level of service, do so. Whether its an unexpected complimentary dessert in a restaurant, or an upgrade that has not been requested, these special gestures go a long way towards engendering customer loyalty and to winning you new customers. It has long been known that on average, a dissatisfied customer will tell 10 – 16 others, but people who have had an unexpectedly good experience also recount their stories.

7)Provide full service. When Successories sends out its framed prints, it includes the hooks and a small levelling device. Theres a remote control toy vendor near me who includes the batteries. My gas station dispenses free coffee with gas on weekday mornings. A drive-through drycleaner in northern Ontario opens early and hands you the morning paper with your order. Small things, yes. Greatly appreciated? No question.

I spoke to each of my local retailers and learned that in each case, their sales and profits have enjoyed double digits increases since they introduced more comprehensive service. Think about what you can add to help make things easier for your customers. In some cases, by looking at what else it makes sense to sell, you can even add a new revenue stream while improving the perceived level of customer service provided.

8)Mea Culpa. When you have made a mistake, admit it and set things straight. When customers have a complaint listen, truly listen. Then apologize and take corrective action. In many instances, the very act of listening (without interrupting) can be enough to diffuse the situation and make the person feel worthy as a customer. Then ask the customer how they would like you to resolve the situation. In most instances, your client will come up with something reasonable and often less costly than a solution you might have proposed.

9)Listen to your customers. Conduct your own surveys and get feedback on what they like and dont like – and take corrective action as required. Let customers know that their business is appreciated and that their opinions are important to you.

None of these suggestions takes a lot of time or money to implement, yet they can pay dividends in increased customer satisfaction and retention. The key, though, is to ensuring that employees understand the importance of their front-line role and get good training and supervision.

8 Great Tips: Selecting A Professional Search Engine Optimization (seo) Service

Search engine optimization is increasingly being accepted as a powerful and critical component of the marketing plan. With the costs involved in other forms of online marketing growing significantly, it has become almost a necessity for companies to include SEO in their overall marketing mix.

Its thus no surprise to know that professional SEO today is big business and this industry is growing at a fast pace. There are however many different types of SEO firms out there and finding a reliable service can be a daunting task.

Search engine optimization firms employ varying methods to get high rankings for websites and not all of these techniques are considered ethical. With the increasing number of black hat SEO firms, (companies using unethical and unfair methods and techniques to manipulate search engines), and the thin line between actual black hat and white hat SEO practices, it is crucial to be well informed of the methodology the company plans to use for your website before you decide to hire them.

Here are 8 simple tips to help you in your evaluation and selection of a trustworthy and professional search engine optimization service:

1.Educate yourself with the basics
Make sure to do your homework carefully before you venture out to hire a SEO service. Its imperative you understand in advance exactly what a firm can and will do for you to enable you to evaluate them. There are several resources online dedicated to search engine marketing and search engine optimization and taking the time to understand and learn the basics will go a long way.

2.Fee structures and your budget
There are no standardized fee structures and most companies offer a range of packages instead. A package may in itself contain a variety of services like keyword research, optimization of a certain number of pages, directory submissions etc. Selecting a company should not be only about cost. A firm that charges more may not necessarily be better at SEO and likewise a firm that charges less may not necessarily be providing you the same services. Use prudence while understanding pricing models and the risks behind them. One way to go about deciding what your budget should be is to first identify your websites and business unique needs, tailor a package to meet these requirements and then compare firms pricing models to decide a realistic baseline budget.

3.Size and specialty of the firm
Depending on the size of your website and requirements of your company, it might be a good idea to check out whether the firm is adequately staffed and what their customer to SEO team ratio is.

Another important thing is to ensure that the company specializes in all areas of SEO and has a team of professionals experienced and accomplished in each of the areas including design, development and actual coding.

4.Location
The location of the firm largely depends on your comfort level. You may favor a local company or one at least within your country or prefer to outsource completely to another country to benefit from their lower costs. There are also few companies using a blended offshore delivery model with marketing and client services offices in one country and the actual design and development work being done in another. With the combination of lower costs plus client servicing available within reach, this upcoming balanced model may be a good option to consider.

5.Client testimonials and references
References are a great way to start and should be freely available. If they havent been provided, ask and make sure to use them to find out exactly how credible and trustworthy the company really is based on their past clients experiences.

6.Guarantees
Most firms wont guarantee top position results and shouldnt. It is justifiable for a company to guarantee increasing your traffic or rankings from its current positions; however if any SEO service is guaranteeing you a specific position/ranking in any search engine, make sure you read the fine print of the agreement.

7.Ethics / Spam
Ethics is of paramount importance when it comes to selecting a search engine optimization company. There are a variety of unethical practices a firm can use right from while selling their services to you, to, the actual methods they employ while optimizing your site (keyword stuffing, cloaking, etc to name a few). Make sure to ask as many questions as possible and specifically about the methodology they use. If the firm does not offer you ready explanations of the process they undertake to optimize websites, you probably need to look elsewhere.

8.Reporting and success measurement
Some of the key questions to ask How long will it take to see results? What type of reports will the SEO firm furnish and how often? How will success be measured? Will a maintenance plan be included?

It is largely up to you to define the goal and success level of your SEO campaign. It may be an increase in the traffic to your site, potential leads from a mailing list subscription, or an increase from last years sales. Make it a point to discuss and articulate your goals with the SEO firm and come to an agreement before you hire them. It is however important to set realistic expectations. Unlike PPC and other forms of paid advertising, SEO is a time consuming process, both in terms of implementation as well as results.

To conclude, hiring a SEO services firm can have a significant impact on your companys bottom line, however the decision to partner with a particular SEO firm should only ensue after a careful evaluation of the firm and after you have done the groundwork necessary to help you decide your own goals for the program.

The most effective SEO technique is to index the pages of new website. There are lot of important issues, one should take care. We are providing a simple guide steps to help you in this regard.

1. Just design you website structure, create your content pages (don’t worry if they are not completed yet) and publish them swiftly. Because, the process of indexing, new websites takes about two months. So, this technique helps you saving time.

2. Since, you have already designed your web site structure and contents (may be incomplete or with minimal info) as I said earlier. Now, create a sitemap for the site and submit this to Google Sitemap Service. Yahoo has lately created a similar service to Google Sitemap and so also submits your website to it. There are lots of online free site map generation services available.

Here are few of them, you may use.

    * Create your Google Sitemap Online By: XML Sitemaps
* ROR Sitemap Generator By: ROR Web
* Site Map Builder By: sitemapbuilder

3. Third step is to submit your website to some Open Directory Project; DMOZ is good and is used as basis by many search engines like Google, MSN and Alexa. This process again takes several months. So, the first step plays a good here too.

4. There are three major search engines namely Google, Yahoo and MSN. Submit all your pages for inclusion in these three major search engines and keep submitting your site pages to other search engines on a regular basis. Do it manually or you may use some search engine submission software or service which may help you by automatic submission.

5. There are lot of SEO Friendly Directories on the web. Some are paid services and some allows free submissions of URL. Submit your website to these SEO Friendly Directories. All major search engines crawls these Directories frequently. This will help you both a catalyst for the indexing of the web pages and also move a step forward in Page rank Building.

6. You may start Building links using Reciprocal Link exchange programs. The text links should not only point to your website homepage but also to other pages down in the website page structure.

7. Posting on Google Groups advertising for your website is something very helpful in building good Page Rank. The posts should include at least two links to your website.

8. Participate in topic discussion on other sites is also a great technique to make your existence strong and do include your site URL in the reference section.

To be noticed or successful in the World Wide Web one needs to apply sound business sense and practices. When a surfer uses a search engine to find information he will get what he needs within the first 7-10 results displayed. This means that sites that are ranked higher than 10 are hardly ever noticed. Most of the traffic is enjoyed by those who rank within the top ten.

Here are a few pointers that may get you a ranking within 1-10:

1.Use relevant target key words for your pages. Ensure that the key words are more than two words long. Put yourself in the shoes of the surfer and list what the likely search terms will be which are relevant to the content.

2.Use keywords frequently through the page but with relevance. Higher placements are recommended. Ensure that target keywords are placed in the HTML title tag. Include target words in the titles. Write titles that capture interest and attention. These are what appear in search engine listings and only if they convey the content of the pages clearly will a user access the web page.

3.Every page must have a title tag, Meta keywords tag, and Meta description tag.

4.Use text navigation with great thought. It is advantageous to use keyword phrases as links. If text navigation is not possible then try and include footer on every page.

5.Avoid search engine stumbling blocks like image maps or frames. Construct your pages such that any search engine, old or new can read the pages. Create static pages and avoid symbols in the URLs.

6.Link analysis is used by important search engines in ranking algorithms. So, it is crucial to build solid links. Ensure that the links are relevant to your web content. Think quality not quantity. The secret is in approaching sites that are non-competitive and are ranked high by search engines.

7.Avoid spamming. It can get you banned. Fight the battle for supremacy by ethical means. Just ensure that your content is relevant and interesting, layout simple, and titles attractive and teasing.

8.To maximize efficiency submit more than one page manually. Make sure the pages are good representations of your site and its content.

9.Avoid automated programs for submission of pages. Submit manually and pay attention to any problems reported.

10. Prepare your goals with thought and care. Use a designer who is aware of online architectural design principles. Synchronize content, design, and navigation. Make it user and search engine friendly.

11. If you are in a hurry to get your website ranked then consider the option of using search engine marketing programs like PPC. In this case traffic is generated within days.

12.Use a link analysis report which will consider your competitors plan of action and prepare a recommendation report for you that is exclusive to your business module.

Search engine placement is the corner stone to success. It will not just ensure a good ranking but substantial increase in traffic and optimal business returns. As an astute business person or avid cyber techie you need to view the site in a rounded way and consider not just aspects of content and design but marketing strategies and cost effectiveness.
